London Studio 2 is a compact 61 square metre broadcast studio with its own 15 square metre gallery, in the same West London building as Studio 1. It suits interviews, news inserts, two- and three-camera shows and photography sessions where a smaller, quick-to-light space is an advantage.
Three Sony HSC-100R cameras on robotic-head pedestals, two Auto-Q prompters, DMX-512 controlled LED lighting on a dynamic ceiling grid, a digital audio mixer, five wireless neck microphones and two in-ear monitors are all included. Generator and UPS backup power is standard.
Because it shares the building with Studio 1, productions can run a main programme in one studio and a second unit, green room interviews or a live stream from the other.
